Christine Busse is the Data and Strategic Initiatives Manager at the Texas Judicial Commission on Mental Health (JCMH). Prior to joining the JCMH, Ms. Busse earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience from St. Edward's University. She brings more than six years of experience working across Texas's mental health system, including policy, program oversight, and legislative advocacy.
Before joining the JCMH, Ms. Busse served as Peer Policy Fellow at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Texas, where she led legislative advocacy efforts and built and coordinated statewide coalitions. She also held program management roles overseeing HUD-funded projects and has served on several statewide advisory bodies, including the TCOOMMI Advisory Committee and the JCMH Collaborative Council.
At the JCMH, Ms. Busse oversees the Court Liaison Pilot Program and analyzes outcome and performance data for Texas specialty court and AOT programs. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and is passionate about using data and policy to improve mental health and justice systems in Texas.
