Katy Turner, Staff Attorney

Katy Turner, a 2023 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, is a attorney whose licensed practice has focused on civil litigation throughout Texas. She is also passionate about and has experience in innocence and conviction integrity work, including post-conviction review and advocacy efforts. Throughout her legal career, Katy has remained committed to public service and professional engagement, with a particular interest in mentorship, community involvement, and improving access to justice. Drawing on her legal experience and dedication to serving others, she is excited to support the Commission’s mission of strengthening responses to mental health needs within the justice system and looks forward to collaborating with stakeholders across Texas to help improve outcomes for individuals and communities.
